The Shop Floor is very similar to the Quartz coating. It has a very high-compressive strength for areas that see heavy use, along with an aggressive anti-slip for use in areas with water, oil, and grease.
It has a clean, solid-color finish making it easy to find small parts, but does not conceal dirt and stains as well as a Quartz finish.
Like the Quartz and Classic coatings, this system starts with an industrial grade 100% solids-epoxy base coat material. It cures slowly, thoroughly wetting the concrete and creating a bond that exceeds the strength of the concrete.
We will broadcast Silica Sand into the wet epoxy, to the point of rejection. This gives the coating a “lift”, significantly increasing the thickness and durability of the coating.
It can be topcoated with either epoxy or polysaspartic urethane, depending on the specific application and budget. This topcoat material is pigmented to the desired color.
