In fact, epoxy flake systems are one of the most popular coating systems in use today. You can find them in residential garages, restaurants, retail stores, patios, walkways, repair shops, airplane hangars, and more! The Classic is installed across Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Santa Fe, and surrounding communities.
We use high-quality 100% solids epoxy for the base coat. This material cures slowly, better wetting the concrete and forming a bond that exceeds the point of concrete failure. It can be applied thicker in a single coat than Polyaspartic, giving the floor better body and thickness.
A full-saturation of decorative flake fills the epoxy making it approximately 5x thicker, and providing lots of body and color.
After curing overnight, it receives a clear topcoat of Polyaspartic Urethane. This material is durable, chemical resistant, UV-tolerant, and glossy. It will keep the floor looking great for years to come under normal use.
